| Ardnamurchan an AONB Kilchoan is on the spectacular Ardnamurchan Peninsula, and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walking & Wildlife It is a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, photographers, botanists, painters and archaeologists and offers a rare profusion of wildlife; otters, seals, pine martens, wildcats, sea eagles and golden eagles, red and roe deer. Local Amenities Kilchoan has a well equipped general store and post office, tourist information centre, bar and restaurant. There is also a new gourmet restaurant open at Meall mo Chridle. There is a regular ferry service to Tobermory, Mull. Local Beaches and Islands The magnificent white sands of Sanna Bay are 6 miles away as is the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse. Both have wonderful views across to the islands of Rhum, Eigg, Muck and Skye - the sunsets are spectacular. |
